Welcome to the 8th European Process Intensification Conference
In the coming decades, the chemical process industry will play a critical role in addressing grand societal challenges related to sustainability, human health or availability of food and clean water. The necessary transition of the chemical sector to address those challenges will include, among other things, decarbonisation, the use of renewable energy and raw materials in manufacturing processes and the circular economy. Process intensification presents a critical element of that transition.
The 8th European Process Intensification Conference will be held in Warsaw, Poland, from 31 May till 2 June 2023, and, similarly to the previous editions of EPIC and IPIC events, will present an excellent opportunity to learn about recent implementations of PI in industry, the latest advances in research, and new developments at technology providers. Furthermore, discussions on the state of the art and future perspectives of process intensification will keep you updated on future trends. Selected conference papers will be published in the Special Issues of the following journals::
• Chemical Engineering and Processing: Process Intensification (CEP:PI – Elsevier) and
• Chemical and Process Engineering: New Frontiers (Polish Academy of Sciences).
We sincerely hope that you will be able to join us and we look forward to welcoming you in Warsaw.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee,
Andrzej I. Stankiewicz, Conference Chairman, Warsaw University of Technology
